Laurinda studied dentistry at the University of Glasgow, receiving the Lord Provost’s Prize in Dentistry for the most outstanding student and graduating with Commendation in 1984. She then undertook 5 years of specialist training in Oral Surgery and Restorative Dentistry (fillings/gums/dentures) which culminated in passing the Fellowship in Dental Surgery of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 1987.

Following this, Laurinda decided to move into General Dental Practice and in 1991 became a partner in the High Street Dental Practice where the wealth of experience provided by her earlier postgraduate training in hospitals is invaluable. She has developed interests in root fillings and treating children, and continues to expand her knowledge with regular attendance at postgraduate meetings and courses. Within the practice, Laurinda has responsibilities for the education of the staff, the incorporation of new legislation and techniques and managing the complex business of dentistry.

Laurinda has continued to participate in the education of her colleagues. She is a member of the British Dental Association and of the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, and has served as local branch Secretary for both. For 20 years Laurinda has represented Chippenham, and for a period served as Chairman, on the Local Dental Committee that provides advice to the NHS Area Team on a variety of dental matters.

Graham Walker

Graham Walker

GDC No: 46234

Graham qualified in 1972 at King’s College Hospital London which certainly makes him the longest qualified Dentist in the practice!

After qualifying he worked as a House Surgeon at King’s before working in general practice for several years in South London.

Seeking a “Global Experience“ he set off on a working holiday in Australia intending to stay for a year before returning to the U.K. to settle down. In the event he stayed for eight years, buying a practice, getting married and raising two children before the lure of the "Old Country" drew him back, this time to Chippenham!

Here he has continued in his general practice whist developing a specialised skill in Orthodontic treatment at Bristol Dental hospital and the Royal United Hospital in Bath where he has been a Clinical Assistant for 15 years.

In 2012 he handed over control of the High Street Practice to younger hands and now works part-time concentrating on his orthodontic work and playing more golf in his time off!
